GamCare provides a wide menu of training, risk reduction and outreach initiatives, as well as safer gambling initiatives with the gambling industry, working to reduce gambling related harms. GamCare supports Safer Gambling Week and is passionate about helping people across the UK make informed choices.
The Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) is a national education charity with a social purpose to inform, educate, safeguard and build digital resilience amongst young and vulnerable people, helping them to make informed decisions and understand the consequences around gambling and gaming. They provide accredited, evidenced-led and evaluation workshops on gaming and gambling to anyone who works with, or cares for young people aged 7-25. Crucial learning on addiction, mental health and money and debt are all incorporated within their programmes, as well as a better understanding of why people engage in certain behaviours and activities.
The charity have developed a Parent Hub
website which provides lots of important advice, resources and activities to support families and help build digital resilience. YGAM also works closely with universities and students to raise awareness of gambling and gaming harms across campuses.
