To produce the videos GAMCARE have worked with a number of people who make up the GAMSTOP Consumer Forum: these individuals all have lived experience of gambling issues and have been instrumental in providing feedback throughout the development and production of the animations.
In producing the animations/videos it has been important to communicate clearly some key messages about what GAMSTOP is (and what it is not). These messages include the fact that it is free, easy to register for, it excludes the individual not the device and that many people are already a part of the scheme. GAMSTOP is the only solution which enables users to to exclude themselves from the majority of UK licensed online sites, for free and with one simple registration. It was also important to share some of the strong testimonials already received from users since the scheme went live.
